The Lap Band: Is It Your Answer to Weight Loss?
Eight years ago, I lost 90 pounds with the Lap Band, and it changed my life. If you’ve been struggling with weight loss, then the Lap Band may be the answer for you too.
That’s my job here at True Results: to help people figure out if the Lap Band is right for them. In my role as a Lap Band Advocate for True Results, I lead support groups, educate people about the Lap Band vs. other options and, if this is the answer for them, help them through getting qualified for insurance or financing. I am excited to have a new way to talk to you through this blog!
Here’s what I plan to do. I’ve been where you may be now – tired of being overweight, sick of yo-yo diets, scared about what’s happening to my health and unsure about what to do next. So I want to help you with the information and answers that I wish that had been easier for me to find 10 years ago. There’s nothing worse than worrying and wondering – let’s get you some answers!
In the next few weeks, I’ll be blogging about the Lap Band vs. other weight loss options, tell you about eating with the Lap Band and walk through how the financials work. But for now let me leave you with three important things to remember if you decide to use the Lap Band:
- You can lose the weight.
- You will lose the weight.
- You will not feel like you’re living on a foreign planet. You will still be you – just thinner and healthier!
Being active when you’re trying to lose weight doesn’t have to mean running a marathon, pumping iron or taking aerobics every day. But to get started, put on your fuzzy slippers.
If you’re struggling with your weight, there’s a good chance you are at risk for or already experiencing high blood pressure. Here's what you need to know about hypertension & weight loss surgery.
