Dr. John Marsden completed his undergraduate degree with highest honors and finished in the top of his medical school class. He distinguished himself by being named Chief Surgical Resident upon his 5th year of residency.

After completion of his general surgery training, Dr. Marsden completed a cardiovascular fellowship at Baylor Medical Center in Houston, TX, under Dr. Michael DeBakey.

Dr. Marsden is one of the most experienced Lap Band surgeons in the nation, having performed over 4,000 laparoscopic procedures and over 3,000 laparoscopic gastric banding procedures.
