Dr. Thompson has been serving the Lake Jackson area for the better part of 2 years, but previous to coming here he served for 17 years at the Houston Medical Center. Dr. Thompson specializes in general surgery, bariatric surgery (LAP-BAND® system), hand surgery, and many cardiovascular procedures. - Malignancy of the Gastrointestinal Tract, especially Colon Cancer and Surgical Problems of the Female Breast. Dr. Thompson assisted in reorganizing the breast cancer screening clinic at Ben Taub Hospital. He is experienced in all other areas of General Surgery and Laparoscopic Surgery as well.
