Lap Band Support Groups
Attending your local True Results support group regularly is a great way to stay on track with your weight loss goals. At these sessions, you’ll find support, guidance and the company of others who, like you, are working towards a weight loss goal with the help of the Lap Band.
What to Expect
Each True Results support group session is led by a True Results Patient Advocate who’s had the surgery themselves. These forums are designed to promote the well-being of all Lap Band patients — offering a supportive environment where you can discuss your concerns, find answers to your questions and share your successes.
Each session includes a short presentation on an educational topic relevant to your journey with the Lap Band, followed by a question and answer period. Then the floor is opened up for general discussion and questions.
Who Should Attend
We encourage all True Results Lap Band patients to join in, and we welcome Lap Band patients from other programs as well. And, we know that pre-operative patients often need support too, so we welcome patients who are getting ready for their procedure as well. However, because of the personal topics that are discussed at these meetings, we ask that you make child care arrangements for any child under 14.
