My Story The Lap-Band surgery was the simplest thing I have ever done. After two weeks from signing up I went in for a 30 min procedure that created my new birthday, the day that my life began fresh and I was able to be who I really am: me! I was not just fat! That is something people don’t realize; it was just a part of my physical being – not me. 50 pounds came off within the first two months. I was amazed because I had spend the past 2 years trying to lose 2 pounds! People I had known forever didn’t even recognize me! Another 80 pounds fell off after just 5 months. Just couldn’t imagine doing this without the assistance of the band. I didn’t have to diet anymore; just watch what I ate and learn for the first time how to chew my food, not just swallow it! I am 110 pounds less than I was 8 months ago and am still losing everyday. I am almost completely opened - no solution in my band - due to rapid weight loss and am still continuing to lose weight because I have retrained my mind on how to eat the right way. Can I Imagine life without the band? No – it has changed my life – and for that I am so grateful and thankful to have this useful tool that keeps me on track. The fat that used to rule my life will no longer be a part of me. I am ME again, and I love it! Thanks to all of the wonderful staff at True Results for helping me with this journey.
