Before my Lap Band Surgery, I suffered two types of pain — physical and emotional. I was unable to climb stairs or walk far because of fallen arches. The weight had driven my blood pressure and cholesterol out of control. The doctor diagnosed me with fatty liver disease. I never dressed up, rarely wore make-up or fixed my hair. I hated the stares, the jokes my kids heard when I went to their school, but most of all, my appearance.

Now that I’ve lost more than 100 pounds, my life and my health are so much better. My liver is normal again, my dosage of medicines has been reduced, my cholesterol is okay, and my feet don’t hurt as much. What a difference the LAP-BAND made!
