Have you ever wondered to yourself, "What happened to me?" I did. I lost control for years. I was gaining about 25 pounds a year after the birth of my second daughter. I stepped on the scale with tears in my eyes. 240 pounds. All I could think is that I was a failure. I couldn't believe I had let myself go so long like this. I knew I needed to do something. I tried all the diets over the years and failed miserably every time. I needed something more to help me. I knew I couldn't do it alone.

That is when I started researching the Lap-Band System. I went to a seminar and found out that the Lap-Band was better than gastric bypass and that Lap-Band was durable, adjustable, and reversible if needed. The more I researched the more I knew this is what I needed to get my weight under control. I had my surgery on August 11, 2003 and after 18 months I lost 115 pounds. I went from a size 24 to a 6! I am thinner than I have ever been in my life. I am proud that I made the decision to take back control of my life. The only thing I have gained from the Lap-Band is a happy, healthier life!
