For 20 years I felt miserable, embarrassed, sad and unattractive. My back and knees hurt all the time, and I was beginning to develop other health issues.
I was headed down a scary path and could not get myself back on track. I tried all the typical diets like Slimfast, Metabolife, walking with my neighbor and even prescription diet pills. Nothing worked for long, if at all.
My 50th birthday came along and when I looked at the pictures I knew I had to do something. After talking to friends and my doctor, I found out about the Lap Band. I researched it and decided this was for me.
On May 25, 2006, I had my lap band surgery. So far, I have dropped 4 dress sizes and will soon reach my goal weight. I haven’t felt this way in years and I love it.
